Commissions

Commissions add vitality and diversity of the Liberal Party. Commission members are encouraged to influence the policies and practices of the Party in order to keep us moving forward. Here is a little more about each of them.

Indigenous Peoples’ Commission

With the creation of the IPC in 1990, the Liberal Party became the first and only political party to formally recognize the unique place that Aboriginal Peoples occupy in Canada by providing us the opportunity to represent ourselves within a federal party.

The YLC is made up all Liberals aged 25 and under. With clubs in ridings across Canada, we bring energy and innovative ideas to the Liberal Party (read: we like to shake things up a bit) and empower youth to make a difference by building a better Canada.

The glass ceiling is showing cracks. Would you like to help bring it tumbling down? The NWLC is the voice of women in the Liberal Party of Canada. We represent and promote the interests of women within the Party and encourage the active participation of women at all levels of Canadian politics.
